In Plain Sight

by Leslea Wahl

When tragedy shatters sixteen-year-old Emerson’s family, she and her father relocate to a small Minnesota town for a fresh start. Her father finds work refurbishing an abandoned lodge, but to Emerson, the bitter cold and isolation feel more like an exile than a new beginning, deepening her grief.

Despite her determination to keep to herself, she meets Reid, the teenage son of the family who owns the lodge. He piques her interest by revealing the lodge’s hidden room and rumors surrounding it.

While delving into a century-old mystery in search of answers, Emerson is forced to confront her own hidden secrets.
