Leanne Pankuch was born in Ontario, Canada and now lives in New York’s mid-Hudson Valley. As a child, Leanne formed a deep attachment to words and sometimes read dictionaries and cereal boxes when books were scarce. She has been inspired by myths, fairytales, J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Anne McCaffery, L.M. Montgomery, Neil Gaiman, Edward Gorey, Joseph Campbell, Jane Austen, the Brontës, Disney, Broadway shows, and the history of the world.
Today, Leanne walks in the woods, plays with her dog, and amuses her husband. She also writes stories about dragons, dogs, songs, laughter, and strong characters who rush headlong into following their dreams with plenty of passion and not much planning.
